About
Welcome to my place on the web. I’m glad that you’re here and I hope that you will find this blog helpful even if it’s to kill some time.
My name is James and I’m a recent college graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I majored in communication studies and double minored in public relations and advertising. It’s been one year since graduation and speaking in terms of a career, life hasn’t been exactly what I hoped it would be. I’ve fallen on my face a few times but it’s important to keep trying no matter what. I’ve held all sorts of odd-jobs since being out of school.
This blog was born out of an attempt to start a class project in my senior year. My hope is to grow it into something more that may be able to help or assist at least someone in preparing themselves to find employment. The phrase “it’s scary out there” is a common one used to describe the job market and the difficulty one can encounter in being placed at the right company with the right job. I won’t pretend to be an authority on the subject of finding a job but I won’t shy away from including my personal experiences with the topic. I believe I have a unique opportunity that sets me apart from the pack. I’m not saying I won’t include the usual top ten lists but I want to be real and I want to be honest with you.
More than anything, I want this site to be a resource for all sorts of talent out there. I hope that some will be able to share their experiences and experiments in finding permanent employment.
